Date: Saturday, August 28 Time: 1:00 pm to about 6:30 pm (5:17 pm low tide @ Cherry Grove) Place: Sea Critters Depot 3002 Airport Boulevard #A North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582-4533
Please join CMAC for this joint meeting with two other local clubs in North Myrtle Beach at Sea Critters Depot. Once the festivities conclude there, a collecting trip will be made to nearby Cherry Grove at low tide that afternoon to see what kind of interesting marine life we can encounter right here on our coast. Food and drinks will be provided while we gather at Sea Critters Depot, so plan a day trip to visit this CMAC sponsor and interact with many other hobbyists that aren't all that far away from us here in Columbia. Carpooling is encouraged, as well as being prepared for what will likely be warm weather.
Date: Saturday, July 24, 2010 Time: 3:00 pm - ? Place: A Fish Store 409 Rast Street Sumter, SC (Behind the Sumter Mall)
The July Meeting will be held at A Fish Store in Sumter, where there'll be an informal presentation and discussion on LED lighting. Please join your fellow CMAC-ers as the club makes the short trip to visit one of its local sponsors.
On Saturday, April 24, 2010, CMAC will proudly welcome Scott Fellman to Columbia, where he will be giving a presentation entitled Aquascaping for the Aesthetically Challenged. Coinciding with his presentation, CMAC is also holding a frag swap that will follow Scott Fellman's presentation. Information on Scott Fellman, some of his writings, and the frag swap (the more sellers, the better the swap) can be found in this thread in the forums.
CMAC is also working to schedule some other more informal meet and greet type gatherings and will keep everyone updated as those plans become more definite. Our guest is looking forward to coming to Columbia, and I hope all of you will be looking forward to meeting him, listening to him speak, and participating in the frag swap.
If you would like to volunteer to help out with the activities the day of the presentation and frag swap, please sign up in this thread in the forums. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
